To add to the game’s surprise success, Remnant II also more than doubled its number of concurrent players at launch, breaking its own franchise record. This seemingly echoes the previous game’s surprise success, as Gearbox reportedly wasn’t expecting this response. With Remnant II being released last week, Gunfire Games announced that a week later, the game has now sold over one million copies across PC and consoles. Gearbox and Gunfire Games have done it again. ![]() And don’t forget about the upcoming film adaption over at Netflix. Meanwhile, the next BioShock entry is currently in development. Judas will be headed to the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store. Levine says that with Judas, the team has “created an entirely new world and set of characters while exploring different approaches to single-player, narrative first-person shooters.” In a press release, Levine states that Ghost Story Games was founded “to build upon the legacy of System Shock 2, BioShock, and BioShock Infinite“. The game is being developed by Ghost Story Games, a Take-Two Interactive subsidiary, and this will serve as the studio’s first title. While details are still forthcoming, the trailer for Judas definitely gives off that BioShock vibe. The game was revealed at The Game Awards in a brand-new trailer. While we’re waiting for that next BioShock entry, the mastermind behind the original game, Ken Levine, has something new up his sleeve with the folks at Ghost Story Games with Judas. ![]()
